How Our Membership Structure Keeps Your Dogs Safe

November 27, 2024

As we considered the best ways to preserve the integrity of our grounds while safeguarding the health and well-being of the dogs,

it became clear that having dedicated dog owners who genuinely care for their pets, just as we do, is essential. Moreover, given the unique terrain and the nature of our work at The Ranch, which demands a deeper involvement in the care and training of the dogs, we recognized the need for an exclusive community to enhance your dog's experience. One of the aspects we find challenging about typical dog parks is the lack of ability to screen for behavioral issues, communicable illnesses, or obedience problems.

Since dogs will have free access to the entire property, it’s vital that they possess basic skills to ensure their safety while here. Our members appreciate the commitment and training that go into caring for sporting and working dogs, as well as the rarity of finding grounds like ours in close proximity to the city.

The level of care provided for your dogs at each membership tier surpasses that of a conventional boarding experience, encompassing diet, health, appearance, and coat examination, along with an in-depth understanding of dietary or physical limitations. Every dog undergoes screening before joining The Ranch to ensure that only the right types thrive in our distinctive environment. We also aim to create a community of like-minded, passionate dog owners who recognize the significance of dogs in their lives and the dedication required to maintain a healthy, happy canine citizen. Our top priority is safety—both health and physical—and we strive to ensure that all dogs entering our grounds are healthy, well-adjusted, and safe.

Our aspiration is that once you become part of The Ranch, dog ownership will take on an entirely new significance. You’ll no longer find yourself searching for activities on a rainy day, struggling to master a new skill, needing a hurried dog sitter in an emergency, or requiring transportation for your dog after a day at Camp. We are optimistic that we can offer the support and the right environment at just the right moment, so you never question your ability to be a dog owner. Our service is premium, and we believe that after your initial weeks at The Ranch, you’ll wonder how you ever managed dog ownership before this experience!

We place great emphasis on the grounds at The Ranch. We've made extensive improvements to the area, which have required considerable investment and effort, with some tasks even tackled by our own team. Our commitment to safety is paramount, supported by experts like Jones Lake Management, who monitor the health of our lakes, as well as various specialists who assist in our ongoing enhancement efforts. Originally established as a working farm in the early 1800s, transforming The Ranch into a recreational space has been a major undertaking. We are dedicated to continually reshaping and enhancing the pastures to create a safe, enjoyable, and challenging environment for your active dogs. Furthermore, we are excited about our plans for a more comprehensive indoor facility by Winter 2026, beginning this year with the installation of our fist dog treadmill. We have ambitious plans for both you and your dogs! Join us as we develop a natural oasis near the city. Finding land, especially close to urban commercial areas, medical services, veterinary care, and dining options, is increasingly challenging, so we aim to keep our fellow Cleveland dog owners connected to nature, readily accessible at all times.
